A visual approach to communicating identity transformation

Identity transformation has been at the heart of EmployID ever since the project's idea was taking shape. While professional identity, and the challenges associated with its transformation, are increasingly recognized as key learning challenges in the context of a rapidly changing world of work, it has always been difficult to introduce the concept and research results to other fields and, particularly, to practioners. To improve that, the project has tried out a visual approach, facilitated by Simone Fass, an illustrator from Leipzig. In the workshop, we've been using illustrations of the abstract concepts and live illustration of our discussion. While we still need to work on the story for the different target groups, and complete our set of (visual) analytical tools, it helped to clarify several key aspects.
