Prof. Dr. Thomas Herrmann gained his international reputation in the fields of Computer Supported Cooperative Work / Learning, Knowledge Management, Human Computer Interaction, Participatory Design, Service Engineering and Organisational Computing, where he has published more than 120 scientific papers and served on numerous national and international program committees. He has specialized in methods for the design of socio-technical systems and looks back on more than 15 years of research and experience in this field. His current focus is on the design of creativity support as socio-technical solutions in fields such as service design and IT support for knowledge management and collaborative learning, which he has documented in a well-received book on creativity support for process design. He has been the coordinator of many research projects and currently also serves as the commissioner for privacy and data protection at the University of Bochum (since 2004). In the proposed project, he will be responsible for the intertwining of solutions with creativity support and their integration into work practice.
